Are You Ready for the Next Kansas City

Are You Ready for the Next Kansas City?

Presented By
Kevin Klinkenberg

The American urban landscape is in another period of major reinvention, with today’s challenges remaking a world we built for ourselves in the 20th century.

Kicking off a new fall installment of the Library’s Making a Great City series, Kansas City-based urban planner, designer, and architect Kevin Klinkenberg examines why and how cities are changing, who the winners and losers have been, and how municipalities can make the most of this evolution – looking closely at Kansas City and other noncoastal metropolitan areas.

Klinkenberg is the founder and operator of K2 Urban Design, returning to Kansas City after four years as executive director of the Savannah, Georgia, Development and Renewal Authority. His presentation is co-presented by the Hall Family Foundation and Gould Evans.
