Library Giving Day is April 1! Your support ensures that all Kansas Citians have access to books, eBooks, audiobooks, and library services.
U.S. Rep. Emanuel Cleaver II and his wife Dianne Cleaver honor local high school artists at the annual Missouri 5th Congressional District student art exhibit and celebration.
All student art submissions—paintings, prints, drawings, photographs, collages, and computer art—will be on display at the Central Library from April 9-14, 2019. One winning piece is unveiled during the Saturday afternoon event, and will go on display for a year in the Cannon tunnel leading from the Cannon House Office Building to the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C.
The event is part of a nationwide program designed to recognize and encourage high school artists in each U.S. congressional district. More than 650,000 students across the country have participated since the competition began in 1982.
