Intimate Riot introduces the fictional aesthetic of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. Based on Alice’s early published journeys, internationally recognized artist Peregrine Honig delivers a genre-crossing exhibit combining art objects, video, installation, and design alongside text from Lewis Carroll’s timeless classic.
The three-month show provides highlights of specific scenes, descriptions, characters, and conversations drawn from the book, allowing visitors to experience a sense of psychedelic discovery akin to Alice’s dreams and conflicts. An award-winning lineup of critically acclaimed artists and fashion designers, including Will Cotton, Satch Hoyt, David Ford, Hadley Anne Johnson, Leo Esquivel, and Kate Clements, leads us down a rabbit hole of visual possibilities and asks who Alice might have become in a contemporary landscape.
