Kansas City Linux Users Group helps people learn about, install, and use GNU/Linux and other Free and Open Source Software. Bring us your tired, your sick, your huddled masses of computers, yearning to breathe free.
The group meets every first Wednesday and third Tuesday of each month.

No matter your limitations, we hope you can still reap the physical, mental and emotional benefits of exercise. This class is designed to give you a total body workout. Cardio, strength and flexibility exercises are all performed from a seated position.

The Library's Community Resources Division faciliatates this weekly outreach event every Thursday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m in the Central Library's One North Technology Center.
Each week various service providers from the community are on hand to assist patrons with resources relevant to their needs, answer questions, and connect them with services.
Additionally, Community Resources staff are available to provide information about Library resources, services, and programs.
Free books are provided through the Westport Branch’s paperback exchange program.

Drop in during our Career Resource & Financial Literacy Specialist office hours to get any questions answered about job searching, resume help, and more. Also, learn more about what resources the library offers for careers, education, and job seekers.

Stop in at the Waldo Community branch for a healthy after-school snack. In partnership with Harvesters, Kids Cafe is held every Monday - Friday from 3:45-4:45 pm.
You must be 18 and under to receive a meal and the meal must be eaten in the Kids Cafe room.
