The Hidden History of the Black West: An Exhibit on Black Cowboys and Cowgirls

Discover a powerful and often overlooked chapter of American history. This three-hour, drop-in exhibit features panels and artifacts highlighting Black cowboys and cowgirls—such as Bass Reeves, Bill Pickett, Mary Fields, and Johanna July—who helped shape the American frontier. This exhibit is presented by Sandra Lamb, M.Ed.
