FilmCentral: 'How to Blow Up a Pipeline'

Your KCPL account gives you access to thousands of movies; films to check out from our Central Vault collection as well as to stream from Kanopy and hoopla. Our staff, Cullen and James, will announce a movie to discuss at the beginning of each month. You’ll have a few weeks to watch the movie. Then, on the third Wednesday of each month at 6:00 p.m., we will meet on Microsoft Teams and discuss. You can pop your own popcorn, wear your fuzzy slippers (or your dinner jacket) and talk cinema. See you at the movies!

This month, join us as we discuss How to Blow Up a Pipeline. A crew of young environmental activists execute a daring mission to sabotage an oil pipeline in this taut and timely thriller that is part high-stakes heist, part radical exploration of the climate crisis. Inspired by ideas put forth in Andreas Malm's nonfiction book by the same name, published by Verso Books.

This program is intended for individuals 18 years and older.
