Support the Kansas City Public Library on #LibraryGivingDay.
Come join us at the beautiful Central Library for the Brown Mountain Lightning Bugs live in concert! The brainchild of a prog-rock guitarist and a classically-trained composer, the Brown Mountain Lightning Bugs formed in 2016 after the founding members, Kendra and Zack Harding, tied the knot.
Fans have described their music as “effortlessly complex” and blues legend Henry Turner Jr. calls it “funky mountain music.” Blending traditional with trippy, they’ve played throughout the US and internationally, including slots at the Anchorage Folk Festival, Mill Farm Music (UK), Rockwood Music Hall, Piedmont Folkways, and more. They aim to create a concoction of music that gets toes tapping and heads bobbing, and maybe make some friends along the way.
If you need ADA accommodation to use Library services or attend Library events and programs, please notify us at least 3 business days in advance at 816.701.3409 or ADA@kclibrary.org. (TTY access available via 711 or 866.520.7309 for Spanish.)
