March 2023 - Central Youth Services Zine

Wednesday, March 1, 2023

There's a spring in the step of the March Central Youth Services zine! What did the flower say after it told a joke? I was pollen your leg...

The CYS Zine is a 16-page monthly mini magazine that highlights what's new and notable in the children's department of the Central Library. Each issue includes titles of new books, upcoming events, amazing facts, silly jokes, poetry, artwork, and puzzles. You can pick up a copy at the Central Library CYS service desk, or download a copy online, print it, and enjoy the zine from home.

Printing/assembly tips for the CYS Zine:

If you have one-sided printing:

  1. Print the zine as 2 sheets of paper.
  2. Cut along the dotted lines.
  3. Put pages in order and staple!

If you have double-sided printing:

  1. Select the print options Print on both sides of paper and Flip on short edge.
  2. (You may also have to change from Portrait to Landscape as the orientation.)
  3. Print the document.
  4. Fold the sheet once lengthwise, then fold that in half, then fold again.
  5. Check to see if the page order looks right; if not, refold.
  6. Staple on the center fold line.
  7. Then cut/trim the top and side, so the zine opens.

If you feel inspired, why not create your own zine? It's as easy as folding pages and writing/drawing your own little magazine!
