Library Launches Third Installment of Writing Classes

The Kansas City Public Library is launching the third installment in a continuing series of online classes for beginning and intermediate-level writers interested in developing their writing skills.

Taught by Lynn Snyder and James Harris – graduate students in the University of Missouri-Kansas City MFA Program in Creative Writing – classes include: Foundations of Fiction and Nonfiction Writing and Poetry Workshop.

Each is offered online via Zoom. RSVPs are required using the links below. Space is limited, and students will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Explore the foundations of fiction and nonfiction writing and share some of your own writing in this course for both beginners and those more seasoned in the craft.

Explore your own poetry and the work of others in a workshop in which students have the opportunity to read and react to one another’s poems.
