Author Darren Shan will discuss his extensive body of work on Wednesday, October 22, at 7 p.m. at the Plaza Branch, 4801 Main St.

Shan, who lives in Ireland, is widely know for his Cirque Du Freak series and has written a total of 12 books about vampires. Shan has not only had books for sale on every continent, he has sold in excess of 10 million copies while achieving bestseller status in countries including the United States, Britain, Ireland, the Netherlands, Norway, Hungary, Japan, and Taiwan.
