The UMKC Urban Planning Design Studio has been working on an urban design project looking at a 2 mile stretch of Independence Avenue from Garfield to Denver. Professors and students have been examining the streetscape, traffic, walkability and façades in order to develop a marketing and improvement strategy for the avenue. We need input from the community in order to address local concerns about the avenue.
