Divergent Consistencies and Influences

Presented By
Hugh Merrill

Area artist Hugh Merrill discusses his exhibit, Divergent Consistencies II, on display in the Guldner and North galleries at the Central Library.

Merrill’s drawings are influenced by many cultural and visual references that include industry, commerce, and architecture. He describes his mixed media works as “floating in an uncertain void, disconnected from social, scientific, and mythical realities that sustain belief.”

The artist will be present for a pre-event reception, which gives the audience an opportunity to interact with and experience his work. A presentation and discussion of the show will follow in Helzberg Auditorium.
