The Kansas City Repertory Theatre brings its adaptation of Broke-ology to the Library’s North-East Branch, offering the production free of charge to patrons and community members as part of the KCRep for All initiative.
Nathan Louis Jackson’s Broke-ology explores the complexities of family, sacrifice, and resilience. Set against the backdrop of a working-class neighborhood in Kansas City, Kansas, the King family navigates the challenges of love and duty as they confront the realities of limited resources and unbreakable bonds.
With a perfect blend of humor and pathos, Broke-ology celebrates the strength of familial ties and the enduring power of hope in a touching exploration of the human spirit.
This production features strong language, and the use of racial epithets. It is recommended for ages 14 and up.
Please note: Seating for this event is limited and available on a first come-first served basis. We appreciate your RSVP as it assists us in planning the afternoon, but it does not guarantee a seat.
