Library Partners with Swope Health to Expand Access to COVID-19 Testing

Wednesday, May 13, 2020
The Kansas City Public Library recently partnered with Swope Health to expand COVID-19 testing, providing tests at no charge to anyone who is exhibiting coronavirus symptoms, has come in contact with someone who tested positive for the virus, or is in a group at risk of experiencing more severe symptoms.

On May 6, the Swope team tested 123 people in the parking lot of the Library’s Trails West Branch – using up every test available for the day. An additional 100 tests were administered outside the Southeast Branch on Wednesday, May 13, also a capacity event.

Members of the public interested in getting tested for COVID-19 can call Swope Health at 816-923-5800 or visit www.swopehealth.org for more information.
