StoneLion Puppet Theatre: The Emperor’s New Clothes
The StoneLion Puppet Theatre presents its latest production, The Emperor’s New Clothes, on Friday, December 12, at 7 p.m. at the Plaza Branch, 4801 Main St.
Loosely based on Hans Christian Andersen’s tale, this rendition is described as a “zany musical full of singing penguins, a wise walrus, and lots of charm.”
Emperor Pistachio, a penguin with unique fashion sense, has nothing to wear. A contest is announced and two shifty polar bears show up intent on duping the kingdom out of its riches.
When the bears concoct a tale of a magical cloth that only the very intelligent can see, the Emperor demands they make a costume for him.
Admission is free. Click here or call 816.701.3407 to RSVP.
