The 19th Annual Kansas City Storytelling Celebration features a lineup of lively stories, anecdotes, myths, legends, and lessons.

Opening the evening is a Friday Night Family Fun session featuring Kentucky native Tim Lowry, who spins folk tales and stories from American history. It’s followed by a 7 p.m. ghost-tales session—recommended for ages 10 and up—with Lowry and three other performers: bilingual Colombian-American storyteller Jasmin Cardenas, five-time West Virginia Liars Contest winner Bil Lepp, and worldwide culture observationist Donna Washington. There’s also music by Branson folklorists Mike and Nancee Micham.

Ages 10 and up.
