Kansas City, MO - The Kansas City Public Library is proud to take part in this year’s Money Smart Month from April 2 – 30, 2018. The Library will offer free classes, programs, and workshops at several library locations all month long, designed to help consumers better manage their personal finances.
Patrons can also receive a voucher for up to $100 off current fines/fees by attending any of the Library’s Money Smart Month activities. A full list is located here.
As part of Money Smart Month, the library will hold the tenth annual Money Smart Day at the Central Library, 14 W. 10th St., Saturday, April 7, 2018. The event, from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m., includes a dozen educational sessions covering a variety of money-related topics:
- Budgeting Made Easy
- Buying Your First Home
- The Best Financial Apps
- Understanding Credit
- Avoiding Financial Fraud and Scams
- Get a Free Copy of Your Credit Report
There will also be youth activities designed to teach money management. The full schedule is here. All attendees will receive the voucher for up to $100 off fines/fees.
The event is free and open to the public. No registration necessary. Money Smart Month and Money Smart Day are in partnership with the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City.
