The Kansas City Star workplace and careers columnist Diane Stafford gives the first talk in the second season of the Library’s Second Sundays with KC Columnists on Sunday, September 14, at 2 p.m. at the Plaza Branch, 4801 Main St.

Stafford will discuss the local job market and offer tips on searching for or changing jobs in the current environment. Stafford has donated copies of her book “ Your Job: Getting It, Keeping It, Improving It, Changing It “ to be given away during the event.

The 2008-09 Second Sundays with KC Columnists series continues through April 12, with talks on the Second Sunday of each month by some of Kansas City’s favorite columnists from The Kansas City Star.

Presenters discuss some of their favorite columns, share previously untold stories from their years in the newspaper business, and answer audience questions.
