Named for the pioneering Kansas City civil rights leader and former editor of The Kansas City Call, the Bluford Branch is a neighborhood beacon located at one of the busiest intersections in the Library’s service district. Demand for its services – from computer and internet access to children’s story times and fitness classes for adults and seniors – is high from open to close. The branch’s interior was renovated in 2010, but the heavy demand calls for expansion.
