Did you know that some bats can eat up to 1,200 mosquitoes an hour or fly nearly 60 miles per hour in the dark or that white nose syndrome, a fatal condition caused by a fungus, has been detected in some Missouri bats?

On Thursday, July 25, at 6:30 p.m., the Ruiz Library will host a free Bats In The Garden seed library workshop. The Missouri Department of Conservation will be here as presenters. They will discuss bat behavior, bat houses, bats in Missouri, how bats can benefit your garden and more.

Admission is FREE and no reservation is necessary.
