This eight week series for 8-12 year olds will explore various art forms over June and July. We'll meet every Wednesday from 1-2:30 in the Activity Room on the second floor to get creative. 
June 8th: Rock painting
June 15th: Join Theatre of the Imagination Just Keep Swimming: Exploring the Sea through Drama! Take an adventure under the waves. Kids get to be pirates and mermaids who go on an adventure to learn all about the oceans.  This interactive workshop will  include how the very first seafarers crossed the oceans, how Magellan became the first person to sail all around the world, the amazing animals who live deep under the waves, and much more.
Bring your parking garage ticket to the 5th floor for validation. After the show, be sure to visit us on the 2nd floor to explore the world of Central Youth Services and get signed up for Summer Reading!
June 22nd: Painting with Watercolors! Meet the Illustrator of our Missouri Native Plants Coloring Book Emily Altman and explore the creative possibilities when painting with watercolors!
June 29th: SMASH Journals: Construct your own journal from recycled material and take it home to write or draw in. Hosted by the library, this class will be  conducted by the staff of Scraps KC.  Ages 5-12
