Sunday Cinema: 'Polyester'
John Waters' 1981 classic sleaze romp sendup of melodramatic women's films takes a stab at suburban life in this Divine- driven comedy! This film is not for the faint of heart or weak of stomach. Originally released in "Odoroma," the audience would be provided with scratch and sniff cards that had on-screen cues for "sniffing glue" or "roses" and of course "flatulence." Let this be an indication of the type of film you are about to see from the Pope of Sleaze himself, John Waters!
