Wed June 28 – Abstinence & Consent

When you hear the word abstinence, what do you think of?
Do memories of sex education (whether positive, negative, or indifferent) come to mind? Or does your mind jump to values and beliefs? Maybe even both! Join us as we unpack and reframe abstinence from an assumed value to a chosen behavior. It is only one of many ways to practice sexual and reproductive health. We will also cover consent: what it is, when consent is possible and when it isn’t, and discuss some promising practices to sharpen your communication skills so you can comfortably give and receive consent, as well as set your boundaries!
