The Library has added an extra dash of discovery to young-adult reading. Our Youth & Family Engagement team recently began a trial run of its Read Outside the Box program. Teens and tweens can check out new reading and activity boxes that hold two or three specially themed books, the titles varying by box and revealed upon opening. What better way for kids and teens to spend the cold days of the season than passing the time reading books for a chance to win fabulous prizes (more books, of course)? The Library's Youth Winter Reading Challenge is currently underway - between February 1-28, 2021, readers ages 18 and younger can take part, reading and logging books. If they complete and record their reads, they're eligible to win some great bundles of bookishness.
