Health and Wellness
Has the holiday season got you down? Feeling stressed? Need a break? Check out 12 days of fun wellness activities happening at every Kansas City Public Library location from December 9 -21. Activities include mindfulness and meditation, arts and crafts, nutrition, workshops on beating the holiday blues, and more.
With the beginning of a new year comes the renewed commitment to shake up our usual routines. We tell ourselves we’re going to learn a new skill, take a class or two, strive to get exposed to diverse and different ideas, make healthier choices, take risks in personal and professional lives… an ambitious list of life-changing activities. Luckily, the Library is an ideal starting point to help you turn your New Year’s resolutions into real results.
The Library and local nonprofit Strawberry Week join for this year's Flowvember donation drive, collecting menstruation products — liners, pads, tampons, and cups — to be distributed free throughout the community and available to patrons visiting Library restrooms. Boxes of supplies or individually wrapped items can be donated in designated bins at all Library locations November 1-30.

As information discovery has evolved, so has the Kansas City Public Library. We’ve launched a new Community Reference Team to help patrons connect with information and resources needed to achieve personal and professional goals. The Library can help you find jobs, start businesses, grow nonprofits, manage personal finances, develop healthy lifestyles, and more.
