The past year was a difficult one for families across the Kansas City metropolitan area. For those hardest hit—families impacted by the digital divide, parents who have lost jobs, and kids who have lost connections—to teachers, counselors, and caring communities that keep them safe, healthy, and nourished … the Kansas City Public Library is there. As we look towards a new year, we hope you will consider a gift to the Kansas City Public Library.

Thanks to you, the Library experienced a remarkable year in 2022. We returned to in-person events and programming, found new ways to engage our community, and offered resources many patrons depend on. The Library is a critical part of the everyday lives of Kansas Citians who join us for weekly storytimes and family activities, browse our shelves for an engaging read, borrow technology to stay connected, and much more. Your support can help continue our efforts to empower all people in our community.

The Kansas City Public Library has a long history – nearly 150 years – of showing up for our patrons through good times and difficult ones.  We are more than just books. We are a lifeline for so many who are finding their way through the uncertainty of the pandemic, unreliable access to resources, and the myriad stressors of everyday life.  Please consider making a gift today to support Library services that are essential to the lives of so many Kansas Citians.
